Does Bethany distribute Goodwill vouchers?

• Yes. The agency partners with Goodwill of the Heartland and distributes Goodwill vouchers on Tuesdays and Fridays from 2:00-4:30 p.m. Clients need to call us in advance to make a reservation to obtain the vouchers. We do not offer vouchers at our other locations. Please be prepared to present photo identification and current proof of address, such as a recent cell phone bill, utility bill, or lease or rental agreement. Vouchers are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Does Bethany provide housing?

• Bethany does not have a shelter and does not provide immediate housing. Please call (309) 797-7700 for more information.

Can Bethany help me pay rent?

• Bethany does not have a rent assistance program.​​

Does Bethany accept donations of used clothing or plush toys?

• Bethany does not accept donations of used plush toys. used clothing or used bedding.

Bethany accepts the following items:  

Kitchen: dish towels, utensils, pots & pans, plates, cups, bowls, trash cans.

Bathroom: plastic shower curtain liner, shower curtain rings, bath towels, plunger, toilet brush, and toilet paper. 

Household cleaning supplies: bleach, sponges, paper towels, glass cleaner, mop, broom & dustpan, mop bucket, oven cleaner, disinfectant wipes & spray, and all-purpose cleaner. 

Hygiene items: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, deodorant, razors, lotion, toothbrushes, toothpaste, diapers, wipes, and feminine hygiene products.
