As part of my responsibilities as a Board member, I will:

● represent the work and values of Bethany+Bridgeview to the community and act as an advocate for those we serve;

● attend at least 75% of board meetings and committee meetings;

● attend the annual Champion a Child event;

● make a substantial annual personal donation at a level that is meaningful to me;

● actively tell my friends and colleagues about my role on the board and my pride in the Bethany+Bridgeview mission and the impact on the community;

● actively participate in all fundraising activities;

● play an active role in the work of my committee to move the organization forward;

● act in the best interest of the organization and excuse myself from discussions and votes where I have a conflict of interest;

● maintain an active understanding of Bethany+Bridgeview operations and, as necessary, ask questions, and request more information;

● work in good faith with staff and other board members toward the achievement of our goals;

● volunteer at least one time per year to be present during daily operations of Bethany+Bridgeview;

● and sign and submit both the board member contract and the conflict of interest document.

I understand failure to fulfill these responsibilities could lead to my being removed from the board, as detailed in the Bylaws.
