Family furniture assistance program

Bethany's Family Furniture Assistance Program provides gently-used furniture, appliances, beds, couches, dishes, and other household items to families in the Quad Cities area free of charge. Working with a case manager (either one from Bethany or other Quad Cities social service agencies), the program works on a simple concept: people donate usable items, Bethany picks them up, families are notified by their case manager about what items are available, and the case manager (with the family) makes an appointment to pick up the items.

Bethany networks with all of the other social service agencies in the Quad Cities so their clients can benefit from the generosity of the community. On a monthly basis, Bethany contacts the other agencies to let them know that is available for their families. This cooperative venture relocates used and/or unwanted furniture to those families who are in need but may not have the resources to purchase them.

Bethany cannot accept clothing, but is able to receive: couches, tables, chairs, beds, dressers, appliances (washers and dryers, refrigerators, microwaves, stoves) utensils, dishes, and cookware.

To donate items or for more information, please contact the coordinator at (309) 797-7700
