Eating Ice Cream & Helping Kids in the Quad Cities

Whitey's Ice Cream

On Monday, June 18, Whitey’s Ice Cream hosted its annual Cones for Kids Day fundraiser. Half of all cone sales from all Whitey's Ice Cream locations in the Quad Cities during this special day-long event were donated to support the 22 programs and services of Bethany for Children & Families, which help nearly 10,000 children and families every year.

“For more than 30 years, we have held Cones for Kids Day to help support the programs and services offered by Bethany,” said Annika Tunberg, Director of Marketing for Whitey’s Ice Cream. “We are thrilled to continue this fundraising effort to support children and help strengthen families in our community.”

Bill Steinhauser, President/CEO of Bethany, said, "Whitey’s Ice Cream has been a generous community partner and supporter of Bethany for many years. We are very fortunate to have such a great partner helping us help children right here in the Quad Cities.”

A very special thank you to Whitey’s Ice Cream for helping Bethany achieve its mission of keeping children safe, strengthening families, and building healthy communities.
