Birdies for Charity at the John Deere Classic

The John Deere Classic is July 9—July 15!

Bethany for Children & Families is participating in Birdies for Charity, an easy and fun way to donate to the programs and services offered by the agency. Donations to Bethany through Birdies for Charity are guaranteed a bonus of five percent. For the past few years, the bonus has been 10 percent!

We hope you will participate in Birdies for Charity, a great way to support the 22 child welfare, mental health, and community education programs offered by Bethany for Children & Families, including services like ...

… the Give Kids a Smile Mobile Dental Program, which provides preventative and restorative care to children who do not have access to oral health care. Licensed dental staff members provide services in the mobile clinic, which travels to schools in Rock Island, Henry, Mercer, Scott, Jackson, and Clinton counties. Give Kids a Smile has provided dental services for over 18,000 children between 2011 and 2017.

… Bethany’s Mental Health programs, which provide counseling and therapy to students within Iowa schools during school hours, and behavioral health skill-building interventions for children and adolescents with emotional or behavioral challenges. In FY17, Bethany’s Mental Health therapists and case managers served over 1,500 clients and 98 percent of clients achieved their treatment plan goals.

… the Bethany Black Hawk Phoenix Day Treatment Program, which for over 35 years has provided special education and case management services to area youth at risk of disrupting from their homes of origin and being placed in a residential setting. The graduation rate for freshman is 85 percent after four to five years, well above the usual graduation rate of 40-50 percent according to research of day treatment programs.

Participation is easy! Guess the number of birdies that will be shot during the tournament, and make a pledge per birdie. After the tournament, you will receive the total pledge amount due. If you correctly guess the number of birdies, you could win the grand prize — a two-year lease on a 2018 Lexus NX!

Please submit your completed pledge form by July 13, 2018 to
